Save the Date
A weekend of wedding festivities with some flashbacks to the past – this story follows three women, two sisters and a bridesmaid.
The bride is Marigold, a pretty influencer who could be a little clueless – she finds out the day before the wedding she needs to tie something up from her past so she goes to Canada to see sweet Hugo (and his dog).
Olivia, Marigold’s older sister, is a corporate lawyer and is trying to keep the wedding on track. Their mother has cancer and Olivia would like a week of happiness for her. When the man she was interested in shows up with another date, she asks the best man, Zach to be her fake date. She can be intimidating and her story line was my least favorite, especially after her awkward drunken toast at a prewedding dinner.
Natalie is the bridesmaid who has low self-esteem and doesn’t think she is good enough to go for what she wants in life. She longs to work in the publishing industry but currently works as a tutor. She has been in love with Johnathon (the groom) since college but when he was interested in her, she made him think she just wanted to be friends and introduced him to Marigold. I was caught up in the story and wanted to find out if they would all get their HEAs. I just wished for a little more humor and a longer ending.
