The Twelve Loves of Christmas
This Christmas anthology has twelve short stories including some sparkling favorites from Jessica Joyce, Olivia Dade and Sarah Hogle. A lot of the stories are second chance romances. They are all pretty short at around 30 to 40 pages each and while I wished some were longer, I enjoyed this anthology.
Hope This Helps by Sarah Hogle is my favorite story and kept me laughing the whole way through. Audrey emails her daughter’s English teacher about her daughter’s failing grade and they begin a funny correspondence. Then they meet at a school function and the fun continues. I really loved it!
A Solstice Kiss by Olivia Dade is my second favorite of the bunch and it takes place in beautiful Stockholm. Ellie visits Stockholm after being offered a job transfer to her bank’s branch there. While at a museum, she meets a guide who ends up showing her around the city. I especially enjoyed their visit to the Christmas Market.
A Merry Little Christmas by Jessica Joyce is a second chance romance that takes place in Lake Tahoe. Eleanor has been invited to spend Christmas with her best friend, Naomi, and her large group of family and friends. The guests start coming in from all over the country and it’s a big surprise when she sees Max, her old college boyfriend, arrive. After college, she had taken a job in San Francisco and he had taken a job in Chicago. Neither of them wanted the other to give up their dream job, but their long-distance relationship had gotten too hard for them. The magic of the holiday cast its spell on them.
I look forward to anthologies during the holidays because I enjoy having short stories to read when the season gets hectic. Some of the stories felt a little rushed, but it was nice to discover new authors and get new stories from some old favorites. This had all of the snowy, cozy, holiday vibes I was hoping for. Many thanks to the authors, Atria and NetGalley for this ARC.

Ooh, this does sound tempting, Kayne. I can definitely appreciate some relatively short holiday stories on occasions when I have less time to read.
