This one had me laughing so hard. The story starts out with snarky and fun Lainey, who is down on her luck, and just scraping by, trying to make enough to pay for her expensive migraine medicine. Then we meet Elliot, who is an architect and inherits a run-down lake resort with a special cabin built by a famous architect. But the cabin is Lainey’s home! She grew up living there with her gran and it turns out that they have a legal right (squatters rights) to the home!  Elliot offers Lainey a marriage of convenience, so she can be on his health insurance, if she will let him lease the cabin for the summer. (He plans to rent it out to fans of the famous architect that built it.)

As we get to know Elliot, we see that he is just as funny as Lainey in a subtle sweet way and I was totally hooked into the story. There are quirky side characters including Lainey’s gran, Waffle, the rescue dog, turtles and Bree, Lainey’s best friend that all add humor to the story. This story is perfect for a good time and lots of laughs!
