There is plenty of mystery and suspense when Joy, a beloved podcaster disappears along with her husband. Joy and her best friend Benny have a podcast about survival stories. They are getting ready to close a big sponsor deal (worth $30 million!) when Joy and her husband, Xander, disappear and Benny is the number one suspect!

There is a lot going on – Joy has a stalker, one of their sponsors has an energy shake that ends up making people sick and there’s so much more that I can’t reveal! The story goes back and forth from when Joy met Benny and Xander to the present time with the police investigating and searching for them. Complicating things even more is that Joy has severe narcolepsy and can experience hallucinations. These did confuse and annoy me at times (maybe this was intentional?) as did some of the time jumps, especially towards the end. There are lots of characters, neighbors, friends and family, searching for Joy and Xander and uncovering their secrets along the way. Benny and Joy’s lighthearted survivor podcasts were my favorite parts of the story and I was rooting for them to get together. I had fun reading this twisty, fast paced mystery and look forward to what Tiffany Crum comes up with next.
